The Donneries Nomades

What is a “donnerie”?

Donneries Nomades is a network of temporary free shops open to the general public. We collect donations and redistribute them with a spirit of commitment and solidarity. They take place at the Grand Hospice (7 rue du Grand Hospice). We do not receive subsidies for the organization of our donneries, so it is thanks to your donations and the joint efforts of BruZelle, A.R.C, Women Now, and our volunteers that we can make this event happen.

Do you have limited resources and want to get clothes and accessories without affecting your budget?

The donnerie will allow you to choose clothes and accessories and take them away without paying anything.

Are you tired of waste, overproduction, and its consequences, constantly being encouraged to buy more and more?

Donnerie will allow you to consume differently, to reuse what you can, and to show your interest in alternative forms of consumption.

How to organize a donnerie?

The concept is very simple and develops in three steps:

  1. Donation collection
  2. Creation of a free shop where donations are available
  3. Opening of the free shop to the public

Of course, a donation can be accompanied by various activities: a sewing and repair workshop, a moment of reflection and debate…

To organize a donation, you need a place to receive the donations and another place to set up the free and temporary store, furniture to deposit the donations (tables, shelves, hangers), and above all, people to communicate, receive, classify, install, manage the flows, and guide the public.
