It is a space for meeting, exchange, and collective creation around motherhood in exile and displacement. A project created by the Ma.mi Lab association (Motherhood and Migration Lab), in collaboration with Women Now and thanks to the support of Equal Brussels.

An initiative for the empowerment of women in identity reconstruction and their children within the context of migration and family building in a bicultural setting.

MA.MI LAB primarily seeks to create a community and network, where we can share our experiences in a safe environment and with respect for the individual processes of each mother. For this purpose, the space “Coffee among ma.mis without borders” is held every last Saturday of the month. With the actions that emerge from the collective and its needs, we also aim to trace a kind of map of the processes, as a visualization tool to raise awareness and generate networks and transmission of tools to other mothers on the same way.
