  • About Réseau Oasis

Réseau Oasis (in English, “Oasis Network”) is a temporary and confidential emergency hosting service provided by citizens for women (with or without children) and members of the LGTBIQIA+ community who are being victims of gender-based and intrafamily violence.

This hosting network is made up, on the one hand, of generous and altruistic citizens who offer part of their homes to take in victims of violence on an urgent and temporary basis and, on the other hand, of professionals who organise the reception, act as a liaison between the victims and the hosts, follow up on the cases and offer guidance and support. In addition, the professional team at Réseau Oasis also trains the voluntary hosts and assists them through the victim hosting process.

These are the main goals of Réseau Oasis:

    • Offering a welcoming reception and an emergency shelter for victims.
    • Providing psychological first aid.
    • Ensuring emotional support and expert psychological counselling.
    • Supporting victims and providing them with long-term psychosocial and legal guidance.
    • Training and assisting voluntary hosts.

    With the support of:

If you are a victim of violence or know someone who is, don’t hesitate to contact Réseau Oasis to get appropriate help. We are here for you!

Our service is open to anyone in need, regardless of their administrative status (newcomer, undocumented, economically dependent, etc.).

Your request will be treated confidentially, and our staff is bound by professional secrecy.

    We offer two complementary services:

    • Women Accueil: our legal, social and psychological counselling service in French, Spanish and Portuguese.
    • Women Transition: a professional support service that aims to strengthen the courage of migrant women who have to go through one or more transitions (administrative, financial, emotional, etc.) in order to get out of a violent environment. Our goal is to help and support them throughout these difficult transitions so that their passage is as short as possible.

You can contact us by phone or chat with us on WhatsApp (+32 493 47 47 57) to get more information or ask for help.

“By volunteering with Réseau Oasis, you’re offering a safe haven and a sympathetic ear to victims of violence.”

If you feel touched by the issue of violence against women and want to take action, join our team of voluntary hosts and collaborate with Réseau Oasis.

Through Réseau Oasis, voluntary hosts provide emergency and temporary accommodation for victims of gender-based or intrafamily violence.

In addition to the material assistance supplied by the voluntary hosts, the professionals at Réseau Oasis provide them with guidance and training in Psychological First Aid (PFA) in the context of gender-based violence.

If you do not have an available space to accommodate a person in need but still want to support Réseau Oasis, you can do so by giving a little of your time and/or by donating to our emergency fund.

This fund is intended to cover expenses related to providing care and support for victims, such as medical bills, PCR tests, medication, travel arrangements, etc.

You can support us and donate by bank transfer directly to our account (BE81 0689 3848 4424) adding “Emergency fund” as payment reference.

Being a Réseau Oasis volunteer is synonymous with great social awareness, humanity and solidarity. It means taking part in the wellbeing of other people and doing everything possible to help them. However, in such an exceptional and delicate situation as that of an emergency hosting for a victim of violence, good will is not always enough: it’s important to have the right training.

This training course is specifically designed for volunteer hosts to acquire the necessary skills to offer quality support to people who find themselves in a particularly vulnerable moment of their lives.

The training is carried out remotely and at every host’s personal pace, with the permanent support of a professional in charge of the volunteer programme.

If you have any questions or wish to request more information, please do not hesitate to contact us: info@reseauoasis.be.
