Notre voix

Notre voix” (in English, “Our voice”) is a project for migrant female seniors aiming to promote positive ageing and fight ageism through a place for meeting, reflection and debate open to women over 60 years of age.

The project seeks to give voice to migrant female seniors and to allow them to reflect upon topics of social interest that directly affect them as women, as members of a family (mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers) or as members of a society.

We work in small groups to encourage trust and participation and thus create a friendly atmosphere. We address issues such as gender inequality (especially from the perspective of older women), gender violence, abuse, sexual orientation, gender identity or prostitution.

These are our main goals:

  • Raising awareness and involving older women in current social issues.
  • Creating or strengthening social awareness among older women.
  • Promoting positive ageing and an active lifestyle at a later age.
